I am one of the fans who didn’t think that trading Brandon Marshall to the Jets was a good idea. Then the Bears go out and sign Eddie Royal, another former target of Jay Cutler to fill the void at slot receiver. I will miss Brandon Marshall here in Chicago, but things are looking brighter for the wide receiving corps once again.

I reached out to Sam Kweon from BoltBeat and BloggingDirty and asked him a few questions about the Bears new wide receiver Eddie Royal.
Can you tell our readers a little about yourself?
"I’m Sam Kweon, an editor over at BloggingDirty and a long-time staff writer and fan of BoltBeat.com, a Chargers blog. I’ve been a Charger fan all my life."
What can you tell Bears fans about Eddie Royal?
"There are three words to describe Eddie Royal: Clutch, Productive, Hard-Working.Clutch: Royal always finds himself converting that critical 3rd down all throughout the game.Productive: Stats don’t show what he does on the field. For a small guy, he blocks tremendously well. Royal has sure hands, I have never seen him drop a pass, and his speed and quickness obviously helps.Hard-Working: Royal is a guy I’ve seen working extra-time after every practice with any quarterback he can get his hands on (usually Rivers). He’s a great personality in the locker room, and won’t cause any legal troubles..But if there is one thing you should be worried about it’s chemistry. I don’t know if Royal will be as good on other teams because it seems to me that he and Rivers had great chemistry together."
How much will the Chargers offense miss Eddie Royal?
"There are no words. Royal saved the Chargers from many bad situations, and gave the team big plays when we needed them most."
Do you think Eddie has anything left in the tank?
"Anything in the tank? Of course, he’s had 15 TD’s the past two years with over 1,400 yards as a slot receiver. I wish we would’ve kept him, but newly acquired Stevie Johnson should do."
What are the Chargers chances of winning the AFC West this year?
"The chances got much harder with Manning coming back, but with the moves the Chargers made (Orlando Franklin, re-signing Flowers and Dunlap, Stevie Johnson, Jacoby Jones) we have a great chance this year to take over the AFC West!"
I want to thank Sam Kweon for taking the time out of his busy schedule to answer my questions about Eddie Royal. Make sure you check out BoltBeat for all your Chargers news and info.
I’m not worried about chemistry between Eddie Royal and Jay Cutler. They both started their careers together playing for the Denver Broncos. Cutler said he specifically recruited Royal to come to the Bears. They should work great together. What do you think about the Bears signing Eddie Royal? Do you think the Bears should have kept Brandon Marshall? Let me know what you think in the comments section below.
