With the draft just roughly a month away Bear Goggles On will be breaking down a wide range of options for the Chicago Bears 2015 draft. We’ll profile different positions and different rounds where players who might fit with the Bears new management regime.
CB Trae Waynes, Michigan State
I highly doubt that the Chicago Bears will select a cornerback in the first round two years in a row, regardless of whether or not Emery and Trestman knew what they were doing.
I heard of him being compared to Kyle Fuller, our first rounder from last year. Plays fast and with confidence, but will have to keep his hands to himself for the stricter NFL penalties regarding PI. I like him, just not for any value.
With the needs we have at the safety position and edge rushers, I just don’t see taking him. He will take some time to be develop and we currently have Kyle Fuller as a work in progress.
I have been surprised before, maybe as a third rounder. Not before that. He most certainly won’t still be on the board then.
Guys like Charles Tillman are rare, but “Peanut” wasn’t really appreciated until towards the end of his career. Is Trae Waynes the next Charles Tillman for the Chicago Bears?
What are your thoughts on Trae becoming a Bear?
