With the draft just roughly a month away Bear Goggles On will be breaking down a wide range of options for the Chicago Bears 2015 draft. We’ll profile different positions and different rounds where players who might fit with the Bears new management regime.
This was the best video I saw on D. J. Humphries.
He gets double teamed and he still protected the QB. He doesn’t take downs off, and we can use this guy on our team.
He won the Anthony Munoz Award for best lineman in high school and went to Florida to be a Gator.
He is 6’5″, 295 lbs.
Thing is, he’ll probably go in the first round. I don’t think we’ll be taking an OT in the first round unless we trade down our number 7. A lot of people like to guess who will be drafted by what team and it is almost always wrong.
Just like I could be wrong about us not taking him.
Nobody knows anything until the season starts. I can’t wait. I’m even gonna watch the draft this year. I think Ryan Pace and John Fox know what they’re doing and we have a good season ahead.
They care less about making a splash, and more about building a team with depth and not breaking the bank. They sign guys to 1 year deals which forces players to earn a long term contract.
It’s how successful teams do it. Something the Chicago Bears have been missing. Former GMs Phil Emery and Jerry Angelo always built the best teams on paper, but you can’t politic your way into wins in the NFL.
You win on the field.
The only thing Pace and Fox have done that I didn’t like was trading Brandon Marshall to the Jets. While he is probably the best WR in Chicago Bears history, there may have been other issues. Strike that. There were other issues. Enough of a problem that someone as good as him was shown the door.
It’s like that psycho hot chick you date for way too long. Yes, she’s hot, but eventually the crazy is not worth it.
You start to evaluate your future girlfriends for mental stability as well as how beautiful they are.
Don’t get too excited though, you’re never going to find one with no crazy.
