I started to do research on Josh Shaw and read an interesting story about a lie that was told and the eventual coming clean about it. He was subsequently suspended as a result. He did, however, show up big time at the NFL Combine and will recover some in the draft.
The more I watch this video of Josh Shaw highlights, the more I want him to become a Chicago Bear.
Am I concerned about his character? No, not really. Would he be a bargain for the Chicago Bears in the third or fourth round? Yes.
We’ve all made mistakes and players are under tremendous pressure to be saints.
It seemed to me that this guy got into it with his girlfriend, he saw cops, he jumped off a balcony to avoid arrest/bad press. He sustained high ankle sprains from the jump, then lied about how he got them and said he was saving his drowning nephew in the pool.
The story didn’t check out, and he confessed about the charade.
The second story balcony might have been do-able. This was the third story.
To be young again. I don’t even like stairs anymore.
