1. Pass Rusher

The Bears are about to flip to a 3-4 defense, but it seems like they have a bunch of square pegs to fill a bunch of round holes.  Besides Pernell McPhee, I’m not convinced the Bears have a 3-4 outside linebacker on the team.  The one guy who many thought could be a 3-4 OLB, Shea McClellin, is moving to inside linebacker.

The top of the draft class is loaded with pass rushers, so the Bears should have plenty of options to choose from.  John Fox has an MO of going with a pass rusher in the first round of his first year and I think this year will be no exception.  Dante Fowler is unlikely to slide to the Bears at #7.  There are plenty of possibilities in the first round and throughout the draft.

Starters: Pernell McPhee, Lamar Houston

Remaining Roster: Jared Allen, David Bass, Cornelius Washington, Willie Young, Christian Jones

Draft Options

Day 1: Dante Fowler, Vic Beasley, Bud Dupree, Randy Gregory

Day 2: Shaq Thompson, Shane Ray, Mario Edwards Jr.

Day 3: Davis Tull, Zach Hodges

What do you think?  What is the Bears top draft need?  Who do you think they’ll take?  Who should they avoid?
