Round 2 – DT Eddie Goldman, Florida St

Grade: A

This is my favorite pick of the draft. I gave Goldman a mid-first round grade and ranked him as the 18th best player overall. His play was inconsistent at times, but when locked in Goldman was as disruptive a run stopper as any DT in college football.

At 6’4, 336 pounds Goldman is difficult to move off the line of scrimmage and should improve the Bears run defense from day 1 as a nose tackle. Goldman wasn’t a prolific pass rusher in college, but he does have unusual quickness for a man his size and may be athletic enough to play the 5-tech DE position at times for the Bears.
