I’ve decided to try to resurrect an old favorite of mine, Bear Dawn. It’s the latest Chicago Bears news from around the interwebs. Here’s what you need to know for May 12, 2015:
The Cutlers are “at it again” as Kristin Cavallari announced that she and Jay Cutler are expecting their third child on her app on Monday. I think we buried the lede. She has an app? Great, another un-immunized rugrat running around.
The Bears made some roster moves, waiving former 4th round pick, linebacker Khaseem Greene. Yet another failed Phil Emery draft pick. The Bears also waived Austen Lane. They added three new faces to their roster including defensive tackle Terry Williams, quarterback Pat Devlin and outside linebacker Kyle Woestmann.
The Bears also claimed former Jets TE Chris Pantale, the 8th tight end on their roster. The irony, the only tight end worth a damn is staying away from Halas Hall because he wants new paper.
The Bears wrapped up their rookie minicamp on Sunday. They have two open roster spots, so they could add a couple of these unsigned rookies who were in for a tryout.
What did we learn during the Bears rookie minicamp? ESPN’s Jeff Dickerson has his Top 5 list.
Vic Fangio believes that Jared Allen can find new life as an outside linebacker? Yes, I’m assuming Fangio has seen Jared Allen’s tape from last season. Did you see what the Packers were able to do with Julius Peppers? Stranger things have happened.
It’s never too early to start breaking down the Bears positional groups. Where better to start than with the quarterbacks?
If you thought we had rid ourselves of Marc Trestman, guess again. Turns out he bought a townhouse in Glencoe.
The NFL Draft may be over, but it doesn’t mean that Ryan Pace is done looking to add talent. It turns out, the Bears have a bunch of positions to fill in their front office and scouting department.
NFL NEWS…
Oh, and this happened:
There were plenty of hot takes on Brady’s suspension. David Haugh thinks he got what he deserved while Hub Arkush thinks it’s a farce.
BEAR DOWN!!!
