Tayo Fabuluje

The Chicago Bears added some offensive line depth in round 6 by drafting T Tayo Fabuluje from TCU with the 183rd overall pick. Fabuluje is a massive lineman (6’6 | 353) though he had his weight down to 332 pounds for his pro day. That is an impressive weight considering that he started the 2014 season at 376 pounds.

f Fabuluje can keep his weight under control, he has the potential to be a quality NFL lineman. He played tackle in college, but most scouts believe that Fabuluje will move inside to guard at the next level. He has elite power with the ability to be a force as a run blocker. His pass protection technique needs a lot of work, but his natural size makes it challenging for defenders to get around him and his strength negates most bull rush attempts.

Anthony Weaver

Started his NFL career as an undrafted free agent with the Bengals, but was released during final cuts. Weaver has bounced around since then spending time with the Dolphins and Saints before being added to the Bears practice squad mid-way through last season. He was projected as a guard or right tackle coming out of Southern Miss in 2013, due to his lack of ideal size for a tackle (6’4 | 313) and sub-par lateral foot speed. Weaver’s combine numbers before the 2013 draft were pretty average across the board with no one ability standing out and he was projected as a 6th-7th round pick but ultimately fell out of the draft. He was a two year starter in college who was solid in pass pro with a strong base and good technique with his hands. Weaver is strong enough to get push in the running game as well. He’s a solid player overall, but projects as an NFL backup.
