At age 27, Carter has a lot of football left in him but injuries have been an issue for him. His career started off very positively. In the 2011 NFL Season, Carter became the Broncos’ starting safety next to Brian Dawkins, ahead of 2nd round draft pick Rahim Moore. He would also intercept Ben Roethlisberger in the Broncos’ wild card victory over the Steelers, as well as Tom Brady in the divisional round loss.

Carter had so much promise for the Denver Broncos, but his lingering knee issues kept him from reaching his full potential. With the injury-riddled history and the Broncos looking to move forward, they simply could not wait on Quinton Carter to get healthy.

That said, he has talent and potential to get back to where he was and with the right price, the Bears have nothing to lose but to take a chance on him.
