No longer a rookie, Kyle Fuller will have to step up his game in a big way and move closer to becoming a shutdown corner. Fuller showed great promise last season despite being plagued with injuries for most of the year. He was able to move into the starting position after Charles Tillman; now with the Carolina Panthers had a season-ending injury. With 64 tackles, 3 forced fumbles and four interceptions it is clear that Fuller has the potential to be a special player for the Bears.

The team will face several exceptionally talented receivers like Calvin Johnson and Demaryius Thomas, Fuller must be prepared to cover whoever lines up on his side of the field. It is a tall order to ask a second-year player to cover some of the league’s biggest offensive threats, but he will have to find a way to make it happen.

If they want to have a chance, Fuller has to help bring back an attitude of fierceness to the ailing secondary. Otherwise, it will be another long and miserable season once again.
