5. Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers: Big Ben had one of the best statistical seasons of his NFL career in 2015, and I can certainly see that continuing this season. He has a great supporting cast, is in a perfect offense for his abilities and is a rock solid producer. With the Steelers giving Roethlisberger more and more opportunity to shine, we can continue to expect great fantasy production going forward.
While his price is not low, Roethlisberger has a chance to put up huge numbers and be a nice value pick. If I were to take an early QB, Big Ben would probably be my guy.
FP ADP: 51st Overall Pick, 6th QB off of the board.
4. Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks: Between his rushing ability, and the addition of Jimmy Graham I certainly understand the appeal of Wilson this season. He has a knack for making plays with his legs, and it has led to fantasy success for him in the past. Now, the Seahawks are also giving him Graham to throw to? Wilson certainly has some nice upside this season.
That being said, the presence of Marshawn Lynch still makes me hesitate. He has the focal point on the Seahawks’ offense for many years, and the results have been impressive. With Lynch still around, I hesitate to place Wilson in the elite fantasy QB range.
FP ADP: 36th Overall Pick 4th QB off of the board.
3. Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos: While his play down the stretch last season certainly raised some concerns, I still have faith in Manning as a fantasy quarterback. Owning him in the fantasy playoffs may be a little bit scary, but Manning is still a historic player with a great supporting cast. He is going to continue to put up numbers this season.
The race between him and Wilson for this number three spot was close, but I went with the background of Manning here. He has never let us down before, why would he now?
FP ADP: 30th Overall Pick, 3rd QB off of the board.
