There’s a lot of uncertainty surrounding the Chicago Bears this upcoming season which has produced low expectations, and that’s not that bad of a position to be in. Most experts and many fans are not expecting much from the beloved Bears this year and it’s pretty safe to say that they are the favorites to be NFC North bottom-feeders in 2015.

With that said, the expectations were sky-high last year and look what happened? Preseason rankings are for Vegas and analysts. When the season starts, every team has the same record.

If the Bears are going to outperform their expectations and dare I say, dethrone the Cheeseheads, they are going to have to have many players outperform their expectations and jump onto the scene.

In 2013, Alshon Jeffery matured very quickly and had a breakout second season. Last year, DE Willie Young showed that he has potential to be a Pro Bowl pass rusher and was one of the lone bright spots on the defense. You could even throw in CB Kyle Fuller as a guy that made a name for himself and broke onto the scene in 2014.

Who will it be in 2015? Can any of the rookies from Ryan Pace’s first draft class be saviors, making a name for themselves quicker than expected? Can any of the veteran players that may have been given up on finally break that barrier? Anything is possible.

What I do know is that if the Bears have any chance of exceeding their expectations, they are going to have to have some key players exceed their own personal expectations, transforming their names into household ones.

I am pleased to share my opinion of five players who have the biggest potential to break onto the scene in 2015.
