With less than two weeks left before the start of the NFL season, plenty of fantasy leagues have already drafted but for those of you who haven’t I’ve listed my top fantasy sleepers below. By “sleeper” I mean player who is being drafted much lower than they should be according to Yahoo’s average draft position. I’ve included at least two players from every offensive position as well as a few more bonus sleepers who I didn’t want to leave out.

Top Fantasy Sleepers:

Quarterback:

Ryan Tannehill, Dolphins (Position rank=12, ADP=10th round) – After finishing 8th overall among fantasy QBs last season, it’s hard to believe Tannehill is the 12th QB off the board. He showed significant improvement last season and going into his 4th year Tannehill is primed for a breakout year. The O-line is improved, Lamar Miller is coming into his own as a lead RB, and they added talented receivers like Kenny Stills, Jordan Cameron & DeVante Parker to a future star in Jarvis Landry. Tannehill is also a sneaky athlete who finished 5th among NFL QBs in rushing yards last season.

Teddy Bridgewater, Vikings (15th QB, 12th round) – For a rookie who finished 3rd in the NFL in completion percentage (64.4%) and as a top ten fantasy option the last three weeks of the season, Bridgewater is getting surprisingly little attention. When you consider the fact that Bridgewater had no running game and a beat up O-line, his performance was even more impressive. Bridgewater should be more comfortable in year two of Norv Turner’s offense and the additions of Adrian Peterson, Mike Wallace, and a healthy Kyle Rudolph should just make things easier. I haven’t had the guts to take Bridgewater as my primary starter yet, but I have gone with the Bridgewater / Bradford combo in a few leagues.
