Wide Receivers (5): Alshon Jeffery, Eddie Royal, Marquess Wilson, Marc Mariani and Rashad Lawrence

The Bears have been killed with injuries at the wide receiver position in the preseason. Most notably, first round rookie Kevin White will begin the season on the active PUP list with a fracture in his shin. White will be forced to miss at least six games, but the threat of him missing the entire season is real.

Jeffery has been dealing with a shoulder injury that has held him out of the entire preseason slate of games. The Bears remain optimistic that Jeffery will be ready to go when the season opens, but who knows. Royal has missed some time recently with a hip injury, as has Wilson who has been sitting out with a bum hamstring.

In an ideal world Jeffery, Royal and Wilson will all be ready for Week 1. If that were to happen, the Bears actually have a nice set of receivers for Cutler to throw to. However, at this point, the injuries are undoubtedly a concern.

Mariani seems like a fair bet to make the roster based on his ability as a receiver and a returner. Unless the injuries are really bad, I doubt the Bears carry more than five receivers.

The last spot will come down to Lawrence, Joshua Bellamy, Cameron Meredith and Ify Omodu. None of these players move the needle much, but I give Lawrence the slight edge based on the project-ability he shows on the field.
