WR Rashad Lawrence – One of four WRs (Josh Bellamy, Cameron Meredith, Ify Umodu) fighting for the last WR spot on the Bears final 53-man roster. As I wrote earlier today, Lawrence wasn’t bad vs the Browns in the Bears last preseason game but he was outplayed by his competition. If I had to pick one WR, I think Bellamy makes the squad. He’s out of practice squad eligibility, is probably the best run blocker in the group, and has flashed occasional big play potential.

DE Kyle Woestmann – Before his two sack game on Thursday vs the Browns, Woestmann hadn’t made any impact despite plenty of preseason snaps. He looked completely overmatched in his first appearance against the Dolphins, but to his credit Woestmann improved every week and looked like a legit NFL player on Thursday night. Hopefully he catches on somewhere else or finds a spot on the Bears practice squad. Teams can never have enough pass rush depth.

CB Qumain Black – Was locked in a battle with fellow undrafted rookie corners Jacoby Glenn and Bryce Callahan. Unfortunately for Black, both of those players had strong games on Thursday, while Black didn’t make much of an impact at all and actually had the lowest defensive grade from Pro Football Focus (-0.7). Black should clear waivers and has a shot to stick on the expanded practice squad roster (10 players).
