What a difference a year makes. Last season, I was the least over-the-top optimist for the Chicago Bears 2014 season and I had them pegged with nine wins. Our staff writers and plenty of other media types and experts had the Bears in line for a playoff run and double digit wins. Boy, were we wrong! GM Phil Emery and head coach Marc Trestman were shown the door and a new regime of Ryan Pace and John Fox were brought in to turn the Bears around after an embarrassing 5-11 season.

That’s a pretty wide range of record predictions. I suspect that’s mostly because a lot of us can’t separate our heads from our hearts or maybe we just have some dogged optimists. We asked everyone to write a couple of sentences to back up their picks.
