Sit’em

Quarterback

Cam Newton, HOU (36%, 18) – I’ve recommended sitting Cam for about 12 weeks in a row dating back to last season. He didn’t do anything in week 1 to make me change my mind. Newton is certainly talented, but may have the worst receiver core in the league and one of the worst O-lines. He could be seeing a lot of JJ Watt this week.

Matt Stafford, @MIN (31%, 17) – I was wary of trusting Stafford last week and wish I wouldn’t have. He missed open receivers, made poor decisions, and basically played like late-season Stafford. I need to see a few good games from Stafford before I put him back in my lineup and despite the Vikings poor showing in week 1, they still have a very talented defense.

Colin Kaepernick, @PIT (10%, 18) – Expect to see Kaepernick here every week until he proves otherwise. The Steelers defense looked vulnerable against the Patriots in week 1, but Kaepernick is about as far from Tom Brady as a QB can get.
