3. Kyle Long

The lone member of the Chicago Bears to make the Pro Bowl last year, Long now finds himself in the midst of a position change.  Despite being voted to the Pro Bowl in each of his first two seasons as a guard, the Bears have decided Long is their best option at right tackle this season.  He had some struggles in the opener, but I thought he performed admirably for a guy who hasn’t had any game experience at the position.

Even though I expect his struggles to continue for the time being, I don’t think another Pro Bowl is out of the question.  Name recognition plays a large part in Pro Bowl voting for offensive linemen, and the son of Hall of Fame defensive end Howie Long certainly has plenty of that.
