Running Back

Lamar Miller, NYJ (57%, 13) – The Jets have a stout run D and Miller hasn’t played well so far this season. I’m benching him in a couple leagues.

DeMarco Murray, @WAS (56%, 13) – He practiced on Thursday, but neither Murray nor Eagles coaches would confirm that he will play on Sunday. Even if he does suit up, I doubt Murray will get a full workload. He’ll most likely be splitting carries with Ryan Matthews and Darrin Sproles which limits the value of all three. I’m playing Murray in one league, but only because I don’t have another viable RB option.

Alfred Morris, PHI (52%, 8) – Only played 12 snaps on Sunday and wasn’t hurt, which isn’t a great sign for his future prospects. Morris is limited as a receiver and with the emergence of Matt Jones and Chris Thompson the Skins are just pulling Morris in passing situations. HC Jay Gruden gave Morris a vote of confidence this week saying that he’s still the lead back, but I need to see him get 15-20 touches in a game before I start him again.

Doug Martin, CAR (33%, 11) – Didn’t practice today, but even if he’s healthy I wouldn’t start him. Unless you are looking for around 40-60 yards and no TDs, then Martin is your guy.

Chris Johnson, STL (25%, 10) – I know he’s coming off a huge game last week, but the Rams run D is solid, Andre Ellington may play, and rookie David Johnson should cut into his snaps. I think he’ll come close to his projected total, but the odds of him surpassing it are slim.
