It’s Bears vs Vikings in Week 8.  The Bears are coming off their bye week and hoping to improve on their 2-4 record while the Vikings will try to gain on the Packers in the division and make a push for the playoffs.

This isn’t the same old Vikings team.  There’s more to them than Adrian Peterson.  Teddy Bridgewater is emerging at the quarterback position and rookie wide receiver Stefon Diggs is turning heads with some big plays in recent weeks.

The Vikings defense is pretty stingy and should pose a challenge for Jay Cutler and the Bears offense.  To help us get the Vikings perspective on the Bears vs Vikings, we enlisted the help of Adam Carlson of The Viking Age to help us with our weekly Five Questions:

1. Assuming Adrian Peterson can steer clear of Bubba Gump’s Shrimp at Navy Pier and doesn’t swallow any chaw before Sunday, what can the Bears expect from Peterson? Has the season off helped or hurt him? What are your expectation for Peterson against the Bears’ 25th ranked run defense?

Honestly, my expectations are low. Adrian Peterson has struggled to pick up yardage on a regular basis this year and has depended on picking up large chunks on big plays. Some of that could be attributed to poor run blocking along the offensive line, however I have heard a growing amount of the fan base worrying about his age and speed burst. Lately, it seems like Vikings fans should be worried more about Adrian’s efforts off the field than on though.
