Wide Receiver

Golden Tate, @KC (60%, 10) – I gave up on Tate and released him in a couple leagues this week. His two point fantasy line last week was the final straw for me. It’s not all Tate’s fault as his QB Matt Stafford has been awful for most of the season, but Tate has had plenty of catchable targets that he hasn’t been able to capitalize on. Now that I dropped him, Tate will probably blow up, but I still wouldn’t trust him in your lineups this week even with a favorable match up.

Andre Johnson, @CAR (39%, 8) – Besides his revenge game against the Texans, Johnson has been absolutely useless for fantasy purposes. He hasn’t cracked 50 yards or found the end zone in any non-Texans game. I wouldn’t start Johnson under any circumstances and would feel comfortable cutting him loose.

Anquan Boldin, @STL (37%, 10) – One of my favorite real-life football players, but is stuck in a bad situation with an awful QB and a losing battle against father time. Boldin isn’t getting the separation he used to and when he does Kaepernick hasn’t been able to get him the ball. It’s been a good run for Boldin, but he has almost no fantasy upside and doesn’t belong in your starting lineup.

Michael Crabtree, NYJ (35%, 12) – Is coming off a solid week (6/63/1) but is facing a Jets defense that is one of the best in the league and could give QB Derek Carr all sorts of problems this week. Crabtree could come close to his projected total, but I just don’t see him breaking any big plays against the Revis / Cromartie DB combo.

Terrance Williams, SEA (17%, 8) – Failed to step up in Dez Bryant’s absence and with Dez back this week Williams’ targets should drop significantly. He’s pretty much useless for fantasy purposes if Dez is healthy the rest of the year. Williams shouldn’t be on your roster, much less in your starting lineup.
