11/22/15: Denver Broncos (6-0)
It’s the John Fox reunion game. Fox and the Broncos “mutually agreed” to part ways after the Broncos failed to reach the Super Bowl yet again under Fox and Peyton Manning. GM John Elway and Fox didn’t see eye to eye on how to get the team over the hump and Fox was shown the door. That’s how I understand this all went down.
This would have been a scary game for the Bears rebuilding defense, but Peyton Mannings’s rag arm could make sure the Bears secondary gets a pick. Manning has the weapons, but he just can’t get any zing on the ball.
What’s kept the Broncos undefeated so far has been their killer defense. They have awesome cornerbacks that will make it difficult on Cutler and Jeffery. Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware should wreak havoc on Cutler. If Manning were healthy, this one would be Broncos all the way, but with his skills falling off a cliff, the Bears have a fighting chance at home.
