Fresh off of back to back 100+ yard and 1 touchdown performances, Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is proving his worth.
"Jeffery who stands at 6’3, and is just 25 years old, seems primed for a big pay day and the Bears front office needs to evaluate if they should be the team to give it to him."
Jeffery, who is a free agent at the end of the season, has been battling lower body injuries for most of the 2015-2016 NFL regular season. However, his presence was felt as soon as he stepped back onto the field in Detroit during the Bears week six matchup. Jeffery who stands at 6’3, and is just 25 years old, seems primed for a big pay day and the Bears front office needs to evaluate if they should be the team to give it to him. Thus far, Jeffery has proved he is worth the new contract, however, durability issues are a concern. Look for Jeffery to build his case for a new deal, as he looks to pad his stats against a San Diego defense that currently ranks 24th in total team defense. Is Alshon a WR1, or is he a WR1A? That is the question on everybody’s mind. Look for Jeffery to prove he is amongst the NFL’s elite on Monday versus the Chargers.
