"We have officially wrapped up week number nine of the NFL regular season and the Bears are currently sitting at 3-5. Now that record would worry most had it not have been for the injection of youth into this roster throughout the season."

Out of the 22 Chicago Bears starters on offense and defense, 14 of those players were of the age of 26 or younger. Those 14 players included 4 starters on a defense that only surrendered 19 points to an offense that was being lead by the leagues passing leader.

Thus far it seems that General Manager Ryan Pace has hit a home run with his 2015 draft class. Defensively, Nose tackle Eddie Goldman has played well amongst a talent deprived defensive line. Adrian Amos has brought stability to a defense that hasn’t had a talented safety since Mike Brown.

Offensively, Hroniss Grasu looked like he was developing prior to his injury. Jeremy Langford did about everything beside setting the world on fire during his first career start at tailback.

Of the six players selected by the Bears this past draft, only two have not started a game. That would be sixth round selection Tayo Fabuluje, and seventh overall draft pick – Kevin White. Fabuluje was a project player who recently was suspended four games for violating the leagues banned substance policy.

The other player is former West Virginia star, Kevin White. White was amongst the top of the entire draft in terms of potential, and only fell behind the Oakland Raider’s Amari Cooper in terms of talent at the receiver position.

The great thing about this draft is that it already looks like a foundational draft that will help facilitate competitive Bears teams year after year. However, one must remember that the most talented draft selection is yet to play a down in a Bears uniform – and the thought of having White on this Bears roster is one that should make all Bears fans giggly.

We are going to highlight a few college football players that would not only make the Bears a contender sooner rather than later, but they will also fit the system, style, and culture that has been instilled up at Halas Hall. Lets get started…
