More from Bear Goggles On

The Chicago Bears are playing their best football of the season. They’ve won their last two games and four of their last six. The Denver Broncos come to Soldier Field and if the Bears want to get back into the playoff picture, this has become a must win game.

It’s never easy to win when  your team isn’t at full strength. We already know Peyton Manning will miss the game and young Brock Osweiler will start at quarterback for the Broncos. The Bears have several key players that may or may not play, here’s their statuses based on the official injury report distributed by the NFL.

OUT- WR Eddie Royal (knee): Royal did not participate in practice on Friday and the Bears have officially ruled him out for the game.

PROBABLE- OT Jermon Bushrod (shoulder), C Hroniss Grasu (neck), S Antrel Rolle (ankle): All three players were full participants in practice on Friday, barring any setbacks, all three will be available on Sunday.

QUESTIONABLE-

LB Shea McClellin (knee): McClellin was limited in practice on Friday. All signs indicate McClellin playing on Sunday.

LB Pernell McPhee (knee): McPhee was also limited in practice on Friday which was excellent news after not practicing all week. McPhee looks like he should suit up vs Denver, but expect his workload to be cut.

RB Matt Forte (knee): Forte was also limited in practice on Friday. Forte practiced a little Wednesday, but was held out Thursday. The Bears and Forte have stressed that the quick turnaround to the Thursday game against the Packers will impact his availability. I would expect Forte to sit out against Denver, but play against Green Bay.

WR Alshon Jeffery (groin, shoulder): Alshon is the biggest question mark of them all. Jeffery has been held out of practice all week. He played last week but was very limited, if he plays again this week, expect the same. He’ll be a game time decision on Sunday morning.
