Fantasy Football Picks Recap:

There was no Start’em / Sit’em last week due to some international internet issues.

Fantasy Football Week 12 Picks:

Note: Only players started in less than 75% of Yahoo leagues will be eligible for the start’em category. The purpose of this column is advice on players that might not be every week starters. I’ll usually list at least one “Deep Sleeper” pick for players started in less than 10% of Yahoo leagues who I think are under-projected.

If you have questions about specific players, hit me up on Twitter or in the comment section and I will get back to you before this weekend’s games. Good luck in your fantasy match-ups this week and go Bears!

Start’em

Quarterback

Derek Carr, @TEN (57%, 17) – Had an awful game last week at Detroit, but at least 19 points in the four previous games and over 30 in two of them. I think Carr bounces back this week against a Titans pass defense that has been ravaged lately.

Philip Rivers, @JAX (52%, 18) – Last week was the worst fantasy output for Rivers in about three seasons, but this week he faces a Jags team that has given up the 5th most fantasy points to QBs. Even with his depleted WR group Rivers should put up 20+.

Matt Stafford, PHI (44%, 18) – I rarely trust Stafford enough to start him, much less give him a recommendation… but he is facing a Philly D who gave up five TD passes to rookie QB Jameis Winston. It wasn’t a fluke, the Eagles have given up the fourth most TD passes this season. I think the Lions / Eagles game will be a high-scoring, ugly battle with useful fantasy lines on both sides.

Marcus Mariota, OAK (16%, 15) – I’m an unabashed Mariota fan and think he’s going to be a top ten fantasy QB as early as next season. He’s already had two 4-TD games and has more upside than any QB with less than 50% ownership. He’s facing an Oakland squad who has given up big games to opposing QBs all season and I think this may be another three or four TD game for Mariota.
