Game: Oklahoma At Oklahoma State – Saturday, November 28th – 7 P.M. CT – ABC

Position: Edge

College: Oklahoma State

Height: 6’4”

Weight: 275

Pro Player Comparison: Justin Tuck

Emmanuel Ogbah may very well be the fastest riser on draft boards the past few weeks.

Ogbah is a durable, big bodied, edge rusher that is solid in all aspects. Projecting as a defensive end in a 4-3 or an edge rusher in a 3-4, Ogbah is violent pass rusher.

Ogbah does not possess elite athleticism, or the quick twitch that many scouts have fallen in love with over the past couple of years. However, Ogbah does have something that will draw admiration.

College productivity.

Ogbah can consistently be seen wreaking havoc in the backfield of opposing offenses. Ogbah reminds me of a mixture of Justin Tuck and Pernell McPhee. Neither player is an elite athlete, but the utilize their long arms, strength, and motor to get to the quarterback.

Ogbah’s frame screams Tuck, but his violent playing style, and lack of athleticism depicts that of Pernell  McPhee coming out of college.

Having him utilized on the opposite side of McPhee in the Bears hybrid 3-4 would be an interesting concept.

Ogbah is a reliable, big bodied edge rusher. The fact that front offices have fallen in love with athletic, twitchy speed rushers may allow for Ogbah to fall to the second round.

The hit rate on heavy, long edge players is higher than that of lighter speed rushers, however their ceiling is typically lower.

With that being said, this makes Ogbah a relatively safe selection come draft day. The thought of having a disruptive edge rusher opposite of franchise cornerstone, Pernell McPhee is an intriguing one.

Make sure to checkout Ogbah and the rest of the Oklahoma State football team as they take on their biggest rival, the Sooners of Oklahoma this Saturday.
