In case you missed it, the Green Bay Packers defeated the Detroit Lions 27-23 on what was a ridiculous finish to Thursday Night Football.

A quick synopsis- after a Lions punt, the Packers had the ball with 23 seconds to go from their own 21. After two incomplete passes, they faced a 3rd and 10 with six seconds to go. There wasn’t a chance in the world the Packers could actually win this game. Or was there? They tried the old hook and ladder, and then proceeded to continually lateral the ball looking for a miracle, the ball ended back in the hands of Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers, with no place to go (and no one behind him to lateral the ball to) was doomed and with no time on the clock, the game was over. However, Lions DE Devin Taylor stupidly reached at Rodgers face and his finger caught his facemask. It was a borderline call, but the right one. With one untimed down left from his own 39, Rogers heaved the ball into the endzone and Richard Rodgers caught it for the game winning TD.

That actually happened.

The Packers had basically already dropped to 7-5 and the Bears were just one victory away Sunday against the struggling San Francisco 49ers of pulling within a game of their rival and a step closer to the playoffs. But thanks to the Lions being, well, the Lions it all came crumbling down.

Kyle Long was not pleased with the outcome and took to twitter.

Can’t say it better than that.
