10. Richie Petitbon

Petitbon patrolled the Bears’ secondary during the 1960s and was a key member of the Bears’ 1963 NFL Championship team. Petitbon had a knack for the interception tallying 50 picks throughout his career. All other players on this list made their marks on either the defensive line or linebacker positions.

There were several defensive backs that could have made the list, but to me, Petitbon was the tops in Bears history. There were others that could be considered like Gary Fencik or Doug Plank, but none were as well-rounded as Petitbon.

He went to 4 Pro Bowls, was named first-team All-Pro once and was named to the second-team twice.
