  1. Dallas Cowboys

This is the marriage that just makes too much sense. The Cowboys let Demarco Murray depart after his tremendous 2014 season because Jerry Jones thought anyone could run behind his spectacular offensive line. The Cowboys used a committee in 2015 and Darren McFadden emerged as the most successful back of the group, but that’s far too risky to take another chance at a committee like this in 2016.

The Cowboys need a viable running game to take more pressure off Tony Romo. Forte can help the running game and help Romo in the passing game, especially with Jason Witten being another year older. The Cowboys are in a win-now situation and they need to sign Forte and make a push at the division and make a run at a Super Bowl.

Whether you think a Super Bowl is delusional or a possibility with a healthy Romo is irrelevant, Jerry Jones thinks it’s possible and he’ll do what he can to make it happen. Not to mention Forte is from Louisiana and went to Tulane which is not too far from Dallas. This pairing makes a lot of sense and one I expect likely to happen as we hit free agency this March.

Odds of signing: 3 to 1
