As it turns out the Chicago Bears haven’t had the best decision-makers running their franchise over the years. The Bears have made plenty of questionable moves over the years and some of them have really been awful ideas.

Even the great George Halas made some trades that bit the team squarely on the rear. The Bears have basically won two NFL Championships since World War II, thanks in large part to decisions like these.

The Brandon Marshall trade did not make this list, although based on his first year with the New York Jets, you could argue it should be. For this list, I’ll give Ryan Pace the benefit of the doubt about the type of locker room he wants to build and how Marshall’s personality didn’t fit. If Marshall goes on to have Pro Bowl level seasons much beyond 2015, it’s going to look worse for Pace, but we’ll leave that one off for now.

Regardless of the Marshall trade, there are more than enough missteps to easily come up with five. From Halas to Jerry Angello, it seems every GM has had some whoppers that have set the franchise back. Without further ado, here are the five worst trades the Chicago Bears Franchise has ever made.
