Gipson is an interesting situation. Gipson showed talent during his rookie season and that talent manifested in years two and three where he had eleven interceptions, 19 passes defended and had nearly 150 tackles. Gipson had a disappointing campaign in 2015 which obviously will hurt him in free agency.

Someone is going to want to give Gipson an opportunity after seeing so much talent flashed for two seasons. He’s the type of player that could fit very well in Vic Fangio’s 3-4 scheme and if Pace and John Fox think his 2015 was an anomaly, the Bears could very well go for Gipson and try and bring him in to be part of the Bears future.

I wouldn’t expect Pace to spend big on Gipson, but if the price is right, they will take a long look at bringing the former Cleveland Brown to the Windy City.
