8th overall- Ronnie Stanley– OT- Notre Dame- Philadelphia Eagles
On the hoof Ronnie Stanley has everything you’re looking for in an offensive tackle. Size, Long arms, big hands, and also has Great feet, is a nice technician, Has great hand placement, and a high football character. However he seems to have ignored strength training when at Notre Dame doing only bare minimum strength training. That’ll have to change at the next level and is a bit of a red flag. How much is this kid willing to do in his training to achieve maximum development? That’s the question general managers will ask themselves. Teams don’t pay out millions of Dollars for playing Sundays. The common man would play football. It’s what you do to get to an elite level of play on that football field when your off of it, and being strong is kind of the first basic requirement for a football player. Especially when going against some of the strongest men in the world. I think Stanley’s work ethic is strong enough for the Eagles who need a Tackle, and they pull the trigger on the former Notre Dame offensive tackle.
