29th overall- A’Shawn Robinson– DT/DE Alabama- Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals get themselves a space occupying brute on the interior of their defensive front. A’Shawn Robinson has the versatility to play five technique or kick inside at the nose on passing downs. Still very raw, and only 20 years old so there’s a great deal of upside yet with the young defensive lineman. However this does not mean Robinson will sit in a red shirt year. No he will contribute right out of the box, but as a role player while he learns the ropes, and the in’s and out’s of playing in the NFL, and more importantly preparing to be an NFL player. Some people have him going in the top 15, so this is immense value for the Cardinal program to continue to build a winning foundation for years to come under the guidance of Bruce Arians.
