NFL Mock Draft 2016 First Round 1.0

28th overall- Michael Thomas– WR- Ohio State- Kansas City Chiefs
Michael Thomas fills their need for a split end opposite flanker Jeremy Maclin. Big time length, big hands, big skill set. Not the fastest guy in the world, but plenty fast enough to make an excellent compliment to one of the best flankers in the NFL. Thomas can high point with the best of them in this wide receiver class. He has excellent hands. He’ll move the chains, and make a good red zone option as well giving Alex Smith two great options near the goal line along with Travis Kelce. He still needs to work on his route running a bit, and learn how to get off press as many young receivers do coming out of college. He can also improve his blocking Although his effort is good and he’s willing. Just needs to learn technique. Still the Chiefs should be thrilled to death to get such a talented receiver this far down the draft order.
