PLAYER OVERVIEW:

Halapoulivaati Vaitai is one of the more interesting sleepers in this draft. A good enough athlete to play tackle and probably profiles best at right tackle, but might kick inside. Either way he’s at least versatile as he can play inside or out and looks like on either side.

MEASUREABLES AND PRODUCTION:

Pretty good measureables, but not an élite athlete. Just good enough to stick at tackle in my opinion. Here are his combine/pro day measureables.

Positives:  Uses his length, and strength as well as text book technique and nifty footwork to get the job done. Plays with competitiveness, and has some edge to him. Love his temperament. If you want to see impressive physical offensive line play just watch the Baylor tape where he kind of kicks DeForest Buckner and Shaun Oakman’s asses all over the field.

Negatives: Not the fleetest of foot. Has a real problem with speed rushers. Will have to be cat quick out of his stance and get his hands on edge rushers to slow them up and reroute their path if he wants to stick at tackle in the NFL.
