DE Jonathan Bullard, Florida, Third Round (72nd)

Chicago’s third pick of the draft was directed back to the defensive side of the ball with Florida defensive end Jonathan Bullard. Going into the offseason, the Bears already had a bunch of defensive linemen to rely upon on their depth chart. General manager Ryan Pace added former New England Patriots defensive end Akiem Hicks, and re-signed Mitch Unrein.

Along with Eddie Goldman, Ego Ferguson, Will Sutton, and Bruce Gaston, Bullard will primarily see time on the field in the rotation along the defensive line, and possibly on special teams. Bullard isn’t much of a pass rusher, but will be much stronger against the run.
