Nick Kwiatkoski may have come to the perfect team. He has the potential to become a fan favorite in Chicago with his style of play and his last name. He won’t need to start immediately with Danny Trevathan and Jerrell Freeman (and also potentially Christian Jones) ready to play this year.

Kwiatkoski is an aggressive player, plays with that ‘tough guy’ attitude and is a tremendous tackler. What may stand in the way of Kwiatkoski becoming a legitimate NFL linebacker is the fact that he isn’t a tremendous athlete and while his instincts are good, they may not be good enough to overcome his lack of athleticism.

Even if Kwiatkoski doesn’t become a legimiate starting NFL linebacker, it would appear due to his ability to tackle, he should be a very good contributor on special teams. While the Bears didn’t draft Kwiatkoski to be a back-up linebacker and special teams contributor, he should have some value to the team even if he never develops into a big-time player. But if he does, there will be Kwiatkoski jerseys all over Soldier Field.
