It started as a simple Carolina Panthers’ tweet posting an article and ended up being the funniest thing on the Internet as we head to Memorial Day weekend. OTAs are taking place around the league right now and teams are posting articles about their teams and what to expect heading into training camp in two months. This is a long thread, but it’s totally worth following, check this out. The Carolina Panthers sent this out earlier today:
The #Panthers are 14 deep at wide receiver. Competition will only make this group stronger » https://t.co/y35LqCFsKp pic.twitter.com/f8cDoym6KT

Jacob Primrose, clearly a Bears fan, decides to make a little joke towards the Panthers.
hey if you feel like trading I think we (@ChicagoBears got an extra safety to spare lol
— Jake Primrose #JBOS (@jsprimrose99) May 26, 2016
The Panthers responded to Jacob, “declining the trade,” and the Bears started the GIF parade with that response. The teams got sidetracked for a minute to help out a fan:
We might be able to... @cy_pair Would you wear it to a game in NC this year? pic.twitter.com/U9q6lukH9G

Let's make it happen then. Give us a follow so we can DM you. pic.twitter.com/HKUAKREWPF

With one simple high five from a cat, the GIF party started:

There it is. One of the funniest GIF conversations that has been exchanged in some time. And it all started thanks to Jacob Primrose and his response to a nothing special Panthers tweet.
It’s always good to see that a couple NFL teams can have some fun, especially in the offseason when fans are always looking for football news, particularly around OTAs. The Bears will be getting down to serious business in a couple months and they won’t be playing the Carolina Panthers this year unless they can meet them in the playoffs.
Perhaps this is the end of the Panthers- Bears GIF conversations, but maybe we’ll be lucky enough to get another one in the near future. Cheers to the joys of social media, it made the afternoon more enjoyable for Bears and Panthers fans across the country.
