After yet another disappointing year for the Chicago Bears, expectations from fans are high once again entering the 2016 season. With key additions via free agency and the draft, fans have a right to have such high hopes. For the most part, the Ryan Pace era has been positive, and with a full year under his belt as general manager, now is the time to see if moves he made can keep the franchise moving in the right direction.

Pace joined the Bears, along with head coach John Fox, after their 2014 5-11 season. Very little progress was shown in their record in 2015, finishing only at 6-10. Furthermore, last year’s performance resulted in placing last in the NFC North, a 1-5 record versus divisional foes, winning only one out of eight home games, having a 3-9 record against NFC opponents, and at two separate times going through three-game losing streaks.

Hopefully for the Bears, this will be the year that things finally turn completely around. However, for that to happen, several things need to improve from last season. From my point of view, here are the five things that Chicago needs to improve on going into the 2016 regular season.
