Jeremy Langford

The departure of running back Matt Forte has left some huge shoes to fill. Second-year back Jeremy Langford presumably will be the man to fill the void. However, even though Langford was productive while stepping in for the injured Forte in 2015, his several dropped passes and 3.6 yards-per-carry average doesn’t meet fans’ total approval.

Not only will Langford have to improve on his rushing and pass catching, but he will have to do so while trying to outperform rookie running back Jordan Howard in training camp. Howard is a great change-of-pace back to complement Langford in the backfield, but he is probably the best player on the depth chart that can dethrone Langford from the No. 1 RB spot. Regardless, this duo will be vital to the success of the Bears’ offense in 2016.
