10. Marquess Wilson Re-Fractures Foot
This may be all she wrote for Wilson’s career with the Bears. He re-fractured the same foot he had surgery on in December and he will most likely start the season on the PUP list, meaning he will miss at least six weeks of the season.
Wilson has talent, but he isn’t the type of player that can’t be replaced, and you have to wonder how much Ryan Pace and John Fox will sit around and try and develop a player that can’t stay on the field. Cameron Meredith impressed the coaching staff last year and he is going to be given every opportunity to step up and make the roster in Wilson’s absence.
Wilson may stick around this season if this injury can heal and he can stay healthy the rest of the way, but it seems to be almost a certainty that Wilson will not be on the roster at this time in 2017.
