6.) QB Jay Cutler Will Finish in the Top 10 in Passing Yards, TDs, QB Rating, and Start 16 Games – Wase Siddiqui
Bold prediction, right? Jay playing all 16 games, you bet it’ll happen. With Kyle Long moving back to guard, Bobby Massie at Right Tackle, Hroniss Grasu putting on some weight, Chuck Leno in his second year and new addition Cody Whitehair. The Bears O-line will keep Jay upright… Hopefully.
Less hits on our captain, the higher chance that Trigger Jay plays all 16 games. Speaking of which, along with a full 16 game season Jay will finally graze the upper echelon of quarterbacks in the league. Continuing my bold prediction is for Jay to throw 33+ touchdowns and 4000+ yards. Especially with Kevin White, Alshon Jeffery and Eddie Royal coming back healthy. With those big bodied wideout’s, Jay should have no issue moving the chains, especially against the teams he’s playing against (the NFC East and AFC South).
Jay will finally throw for over 4,000 yards (a feat he’s only accomplished once in his career) this season, putting him with yearly top performers like Drew Brees, Phillip Rivers and such. This could be the year Comeback Jay Cutler comes into form, but we say that every year, don’t we? How often have we read an article about how this is the year, Jay will finally flourish but end up disappointed? It’s happened every year for the past 7 years.
So why entertain it? Call me an optimist but it’s just something about this year that just feels different, 2nd year under Fox, key players coming back, and a very similar offense to the one they ran last year. I’m calling it now… Jay and the Chicago Bears will finally turn the corner this year and give us something to be proud of. Here’s to a hoping this bold prediction isn’t so bold.
