After Buddy Ryan was fired by the Philadelphia Eagles he served as the defensive coordinator for one season with the Houston Oilers. Ryan’s season was marred by an altercation with offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride when Ryan famously threw a punch at Gilbride on the sidelines.
