Buddy Ryan: Through the Years
The Gatorade bath was born in 1986 when Bill Parcells was doused after the New York Giants defeated the Denver Broncos, but the prior Super Bowl was also historic. It marked the only time a team carried two coaches off the field. Head Coach Mike Ditka was carried off by his players, but the defensive players made sure that Buddy Ryan also received that same honor.
