Predicting the NFC North Standings- Pre Training Camp Edition
2. Green Bay Packers 10-6
As long as Aaron Rodgers is under center, the Packers are going to be a threat to win every game and potentially the Super Bowl. The Packers did show some warts last season and finished the year 10-6. The Packers have a chance to be better this season, but they have to overcome a few issues.
Eddie Lacy has to prove that he’s an every down back. Jordy Nelson is back which will be a huge boost for Rodgers, but Davante Adams was dreadful last year and there may not be as many weapons in the passing game that Rodgers usually has at his disposal. Defensively the Packers are decent, but the NFL is currently investigating some key Packers players for PED use and if anything comes from that, they could lose some of their players for as many as four games and that would be crushing for an already pedestrian defense.
Rodgers is under center, so expect the Packers to win at least ten games and make the playoffs, but with a few strong teams in the NFC, don’t expect the Packers to make it to Houston for the Super Bowl, or even win the division.
