Quarterbacks

1. Jay Cutler- The sky is blue, water is wet, Jay Cutler is the Bears quarterback. This will not change, and should not change anytime soon. The Bears are committed to Cutler, in fact, the main reason Dowell Loggains was promoted to offensive coordinator was to give Cutler some consistency in terms of system and coaching staff.

2. Brian Hoyer- This was an under-the-radar, but a very smart move by Ryan Pace. Hoyer becomes arguably the best backup QB in the entire NFL and gives the Bears a competent player if Cutler goes down with an injury. Hoyer also gives the Bears a trading chip in the event that another team has QB injuries and is in desperate need for a veteran QB. Hoyer won’t win you a lot of games, but he won’t lose you many either, which is what the Bears need if Cutler misses a few games.

Player to Watch: David Fales- Fales was selected in the sixth round of the 2014 draft by previous GM Phil Emery. With Hoyer now on the roster, Fales is going to have to show something during the preseason if he is to remain on the roster.
