The offensive line is starting to come into focus. As long as there are no more injuries, Kyle Long and Bobbie Massie will start on the right side and rookie Cody Whitehair and Chares Leno will most likely be starting on the left side. The center position was most likely going to go to Hroniss Grasu but he suffered an unfortunate injury and a torn ACL has him waiting to play again until 2017.

Enter Ted Larsen. Ryan Pace liked Larsen and we heard plenty in the offseason that he might even start, even though most assumed he was signed as a depth piece for the offensive line. But with Grasu’s injury, the center position is Larsen’s to lose. He is going to have to play well for Bears fans to forget that Pace illogically released Matt Slauson.

Larsen is a guard by trade with some center experience, so keeping an eye on him in the first quarter to see how his chemistry is with Jay Cutler and how he looks in the trenches is a good place to start.
