John Fox and his coaching staff had trouble making adjustments at halftime for the Bears in Week 1. They opted not to challenge a crucial third-down conversion by the Texans, which led to Houston’s game-winning touchdown three plays later. Also, Chicago had an off-balanced offensive attack, straying from the running game. On the other hand, Eagles first-year head coach Doug Peterson had an effective game plan for a rookie quarterback in his NFL debut, and found a way to start his season 1-0. Until the Bears’ coaching staff can prove they can right their wrongs, I won’t give them the edge.
