Chicago’s defensive line made their presence known on the line of scrimmage when defending the run, making it easier for their linebackers to make tackles in gaps, and keeping the Lions under 100 yards rushing as a team. Akiem Hicks, Will Sutton, and Mitch Unrein each recorded three tackles. Sutton stepped in superbly at nose tackle for the injured Eddie Goldman, while Hicks and Cornelius Washington were responsible for both of Chicago’s sacks on the afternoon.
